There is a strict process that your gift goes through to make sure it gets to the right person. This includes checking, judging, and sending:
Community leaders and local partners find neighborhoods that need a lot of help and make sure that the families who say they need help are real. Families with women as heads of households, young kids, older adults, people with disabilities, and people who don’t have a lot of money are all included. We check the lists against each other to make sure there are no duplicates.
People are used to getting food, clean water, and safe, high-quality hygiene items from pre-approved suppliers. We check the quality and shelf life of things, and we also clean tanks and containers for water.
Clear signs, shaded waiting areas, and priority lanes help keep crowds down and keep people from losing their dignity. People who have trouble getting around can get their things delivered to their homes when possible.
Records of what, where, and how many items were delivered, along with quick feedback from recipients, help plan the next delivery. If contamination keeps happening, for example, they might change the amounts of rice, oil, and lentils, add baby items, or add more water.
This way, your donations for the 2024 Bangladesh flood victims will quickly turn into things that families can feel by nightfall and again in the days that follow.
In Feni (Chittagong Division) and other districts that have been hit by floods, the current response includes giving out hot meals, family food packs, safe water, and help with hygiene. Some of the main results are:
1,000 cooked meals sent to 1,000 people within two weeks of the project being approved. This gave people who couldn’t cook food that was ready to eat right away.
250 Family Food Packs distributed within two weeks, each calibrated for household needs and including: rice, cooking oil (1 liter), lentils, salt, potatoes, onions, flour, milk powder (500 g), and spices.
2,125 Flood-Affected People in Feni, Chittagong Division receive food aid through combined cooked meals and food-pack distributions.
Targeted Support for the Most Vulnerable:
Women-headed households
Families with young children
Elderly and disabled individuals
Low-income families
As funding and access expand, we scale similar distributions to adjacent high-need areas and layer in hygiene kits, water trucking or safe-source provision, and basic shelter materials.
The risk of getting sick from waterborne diseases goes up a lot after a flood. We take care of our water and hygiene in the following ways:
Taking care of families and keeping clinics open are two ways to help people after the floods in Bangladesh in 2024.
Plastic sheeting, rope, nails, tool support in coordination with local builders.
Practical tips to reduce mold and respiratory risks.
Coordination with community centers for vocational training, small-enterprise restarts, and psychosocial first-line support.
Safe spaces that host tutoring and informal learning until schools fully reopen.
Verified vulnerable households: women-headed families, households with young children, older adults, persons with disabilities, and low-income families in the worst-hit areas, initially in Feni, Chittagong Division.
Yes. You can direct your gift to cooked meals or to family food packs, water, hygiene, or shelter basics. If conditions shift, we apply your gift to the nearest urgent equivalent and report transparently.
We sanitize tanks, manage hoses safely, and use chlorine dosing where feasible. We also provide storage containers and clear, pictorial instructions to reduce contamination at home.
Accessible sites, shaded waiting areas, priority lanes, staff that is polite, minimal data collection, and easy ways to file complaints are all meant to protect privacy and lower stress.
We coordinate with local leaders and service providers; beneficiary lists are cross-checked prior to each distribution. Logs and spot checks confirm delivery.
Yes. Donors receive concise summaries showing households reached, categories delivered (meals, food packs, water, hygiene), and any adjustments made in subsequent rounds.
