Give a Child Their Childhood Back — Child Sponsorship Program

Mayar is 15 years old, but his dreams have never had the chance to be.

When most 15-year-olds are asked what they hope for their future, their answers are filled with possibility. They dream about becoming doctors, teachers, engineers, or athletes.
But when we met Mayar, a young Syrian refugee living in Jordan, his answer was different.
“To pay off my debt.”
Mayar has lived in a refugee camp since he was just two years old. He lives with his four siblings and elderly parents, and for years, he has carried responsibilities no child should have to.
At just 12 years old, Mayar began working to help support his family. Each day he is able to work, he earns 6 Jordanian Dinars, income his family depends on to survive.
But there is something Mayar has never had the chance to experience: a classroom and the simple joy of learning to read and write. Mayar has never received an education.
Instead of spending his childhood learning, he has spent it trying to help his family make it through each day..
His story is heartbreaking, but it is not the end of his story.
Because with the right support, children like Mayar can still have a future filled with opportunity.

Child Sponsorship

Every Child Deserves the Chance to Learn

Across the world, poverty and crisis force millions of children out of school. Some leave because their families cannot afford basic educational costs. Others begin working because their households depend on the income they bring home.
When every dollar matters, school is often the first thing to disappear.
But it doesn’t have to be that way.
Our Child Sponsorship Program helps lift that burden from families, so children can return to where they belong: learning, growing, and dreaming about the future.
For $85 a month, you can help replace the income a child would otherwise be expected to earn, giving them the freedom to stay in school and simply be a child again.
Your support helps provide:
  • Monthly financial assistance for families
  • School tuition and enrollment costs
  • School bags and educational supplies
  • Learning materials and classroom essentials
  • Ongoing support to help children stay in school all year long
Because when families aren’t forced to choose between survival and education, children have the chance to build the future they deserve.

In Pakistan, Hope Looks Like a Classroom

Today, 400 orphaned children across Pakistan are continuing their education because someone chose to stand beside them.
Through monthly family support and educational assistance, these children are able to attend school throughout the 2026–2027 academic year with greater stability, confidence, and hope.
Together, we’re helping make sure:
  • 400 orphaned children remain enrolled in school
  • Every child receives the supplies they need to learn
  • Families receive reliable monthly financial support
  • School attendance stays strong throughout the year
  • Children are far less likely to leave school because of financial hardship
  • Teachers and program staff continue providing guidance and support every step of the way

Next Stop: Jordan

We are bringing this same model to vulnerable children in Jordan, including those living in refugee communities.
Many families want nothing more than to see their children in school. But transportation costs, tuition, and basic school supplies are often enough to keep that dream out of reach.
With your support, we’ll help cover:
  • School tuition
  • Transportation
  • School bags
  • Uniforms and educational supplies
